Unlike fiberglass and plastic boats

aluminum means no molds and no constraints

Just like WaterCar, redefining what boating is.

Most boat builders don’t have the ability to build with these challenging materials. But that’s why we do it. We use marine-grade alloys and even some industrial grade metals. The same class of materials trusted in fighter jets, offshore oil rigs, and space shuttles.

At the core of the WaterCar EV is an advanced high-strength aluminum unibody structure — a design proven in the world’s most trusted vehicles and reimagined by WaterCar in advanced alloys. By borrowing this proven approach and adapting it with modern fabrication methods, we’ve created a structure that delivers exceptional strength, durability, and performance. It’s one of the key reasons the WaterCar EV is a success — stable and confident on the road, yet strong and agile on the water.

skilled fabricators

We’ve recruited skilled fabricators and technicians

around the world to bring their expertise to WaterCar. Our background includes decades in the vehicle repair industry, where we successfully repaired and returned nearly half a million vehicles to the road. Just as important, we are boaters at heart, with extensive marine experience that guides every design decision we make.

combined experience

Backed by nearly 50 years of combined experience in the automotive and marine industries

our aluminum design isn’t just tough — it’s engineered with 28 patented features that enhance strength, safety, and performance. This isn’t your average boat — it’s in a class of its own.

We use marine-grade aluminum on all water-contact surfaces

our aluminum design isn’t just tough — it’s engineered with 28 patented features that enhance strength, safety, and performance. This isn’t your average boat — it’s in a class of its own.

true craftsmanship

provides:

  1. Strength: A stout and robust aluminum unibody boat design.
  2. Weight: High strength to weight ratio for performance on both land and water.
  3. Safety: NMMA and US Coast Guard certified, closed cell foam is used to fill nearly every open compartment under the floor creating a virtually unsinkable boat.  (Don’t try this at home: to pass the stringent coat guard certification we had to load the boat with newly 16,000 lbs!)
  4. Durability: This isn’t a fiberglass or  cheap plastic boat.  We go way beyond using stainless steel and either epoxy-coated or anodized aluminum throughout.  Some boat builders skip the epoxy or anodizing to save costs, but we don’t cut corners. It’s more expensive, but way tougher.
